Special! Naturale II and Cherry Wood Palette
Special offering! Combination Naturale II collection with artisan cherry wood case and brushes!
When you make the purchase of a Naturale II palette, we are excited to offer you an artisan cherry wood palette with series 1327 pocket brushes at a special price. Perfect for plein air sketching!
Our second palette of twelve exquisite earth, mineral and plant based pigments from the Mediterranean basin to the forests of Sumatra, the Naturale II expands our collection of handmade natural pigment watercolors!
Italian made cherry wood, artisan case made in collaboration with Tintoretto of Arezzo. This special palette holds 9 half pans and inside the underside compartment are 3 Tintoretto synthetic squirrel hair pocket brushes sizes 2-4-8. This hand-crafted palette comes inside a handmade 100% Italian linen bag. These 1327 series Tintoretto brushes have excellent color retention and softness, as well as great tip thinness and resistance to use.
Some highlights of the Naturale 2 palette are the new Copper blue (PW4, PG7, PB15:3, PY3), a delicate green, blue hue, a vibrant Italian raw sienna from Badia (PY43), and our genuine Lapis lazuli, extra fine.
Jarosite (PY43) from Cyprus, a limonite famous for its unique hue, and Rose Madder, genuine is a transparent red pigment made from the root of the Rubia tinctorum plant. Madder was used in ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome for dyeing textiles and, to some extent, making pigments.
Other favorites include Arancio di Castiglia (PR102) a Bauxite orange-red ochre from sun-burnt Castille in the heart of Spain. By special request, we have included Potter's Pink (PR233), a granulating, naturalistic pink tone invented by an unknown Staffordshire potter in about 1780.
Handmade watercolor set of twelve individually wrapped half pans in a metal tin with two mixing surfaces, a DIY color chart printed on Arches watercolor paper, and an artist grade pocket brush by Tintoretto size 6. The Naturale 2 handmade watercolor set is packaged with original marbled paper by Florentine artisan workshop and comes inside an elegant gift box.

Made from premium pigments, pure gum arabic crystals, local acacia honey, rosemary essential oil and a natural preservative. Every batch of paint is mulled by hand on a glass slab and poured into pans. Unlike commercially "extruded" paints, each pan is poured multiple times and dries over two to three weeks. This intensive process creates a very pigmented, luminous and pure paint that activates easily when wet.
A. Gallo Colors are 100% handmade. Pans may contain small imperfections like tiny bubbles and minor blemishes. This does not effect the quality of the paint and is a sign of the human touch that goes into making each and every unique pan!
Half pans present a choking hazard and are not intended for use by children. Please also keep out of reach of pets. A. Gallo Colors are all cadmium, cobalt, lead and mercury free.
