PV15 | Excellent lightfastness | Semi-transparent

Ultramarine violet PV15 is a very lightfast, semi-transparent, moderately staining, dark valued, moderately intense blue violet pigment. Good as a blue violet for a muted palette, and sometimes useful for subtle gray violet shading in portrait work or to capture the colors and textures of twilight skies.

Made by hand in Assisi, our watercolors are crafted according to a traditional recipe of raw pigments, gum arabic, local honey, rosemary essential oil and a wetting agent. This artisanal process creates a very pigmented and luminous paint that activates beautifully when wet.

Each half-pan is packaged with a corresponding color card with color details for your reference on the back.
